Giant Cranial Epidermoid Tumour

Case Study 2 – Giant Cranial Epidermoid Tumour

This patient, in her 50s, was referred with a large lesion in the brain, which is causing marked compression of the brain.

Remarkably, she had presented with hearing loss, but she had also developed headaches and personality change with apathy.

She underwent surgery to remove the lesion and reconstruct the skull. She had an excellent post-operative recovery.

Pathology confirmed an epidermoid tumour.
